Canada-Ukraine free trade agreement comes into force on Aug 1

Following that, Ukraine will be able to boost exports to Canada by $0.6 million annually, and this will enable additional investment in the medium-term outlook, Ukraine's Economic Development and Trade Ministry said.

As UNIAN reported, Canada on June 2 completed the CUFTA ratification procedures after Ukraine.

CUFTA was signed by the governments of Canada and Ukraine on July 11, 2016. This represents an important milestone in the Canada–Ukraine bilateral relationship and will create new opportunities for businesses in both countries.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman expects the agreements on the free trade area with the European Union and Canada will open new markets and give Ukraine new opportunities.
